Sick Al-Bug

Once again I find myself the mother of a sick baby.  It all started with a cough yesterday and then the same old same old of recent upsets – a fever, cheeks so red it looks like Slap Cheek, lack of interest in solids, plenty of naps and a failure to keep anything down.
After plenty of cuddles and plenty of theorizing I’ve come to the conclusion that I think this is how Alby handles teething.  This is the third time that he has been struck down with exactly the same upset and on both previous occasions, teeth cut soon after.
I may be totally wrong in fact I probably am – my internet searching earlier informed me that it was far more likely he has Hepatitis A.  Recklessly, I’ve decided to ignore the prognosis a la google and have instead filled him up with kisses and Ibuprofen and sent him to bed.
If this is teething then I think I’m quite happy to be stuck with additional laundry rather than a screaming baby.  Either way it’s a horrid old process but with any luck my Christmas posts will be accompanied by news of Alby’s increasing crowded mouth.
