Alberistics – mucky paws

If you haven’t been through the experience of feeding a toddler Organic Baby crisps then let me tell you it is one mucky affair.  With a coating of bright orange carrot dust on every crisp hands and mouths get covered with florescent crumbs with each mouthful.
Last night’s dinner finished with a particularly delicious packet of Carrot Stix which Alby ate sitting by my side.  Realising that with each mouthful I was getting sprayed with crumbs, I brushed them off my top.  Alby, who is quickly picking up new skills at every turn, decided to give it a go himself – leaning over to me he copied my movement and brushed the crumbs off me.  Sounds nice and helpful no?  Well, it would have been amazing had he not used the same hands he had been eating the crisps with.  My top got covered in twice as much muck as it had started with as Alby brushed his dirty hands on me.
Believing this to be a great new game he continued after every mouthful.  No small feat when you factor in the fact that he has taken to doing what I call the “food shuttle run” – after each mouthful he runs the full length of the hotel room, giggles at me heartily, waddles back, grabs a piece of food, stuffs it in his mouth and is off again.  I know food is meant to give you energy but didn’t think it did it so quickly.
